“This cottage is very well equipped and its very close to sea front and the amenities, really enjoyable stay.”

“Lovely little cottage, clean & comfortable, well situated for the beach & town. Will definitely stay here again”

Susan C

“Beautiful little cottage in a great fantastic location. Did feel it needed some new baking trays as they were all peeling off and couldn’t use them . Also there was no iron and ironing board and hairdryer. Also was quite a damp smell even though we left the bathroom door open most of the time. ”

Amanda T

“Nice cosy cottage, ideally located in the town and minutes away from the beach. The car park was nearby too.”

Judith P

“What can we say! The cottage is one of the best we have stayed in in Sheringham (family's second home) . It is cosy. Well catered for with everything anyone could want or need. Walking through the front door one feels immediately at home. For the time of the year the weather wasn't too bad, but warm and cosy inside we didn't really notice the bad few times. We have stayed at Cockleshell before and both times were lovely experiences. Thank you.
“Lovely Cottage - We had a Great Stay - Everything on the Doorstep - We Parked for the week and never moved the car! - We Love Sheringham ❤️ - The Cottage was a Real Home From Home, we even extended our stay by 2 days! Luckily, as it was available! We will be returning to Sheringham next year and can’t wait ! ”

“You couldn’t get a better location, short stroll to the promenade or the town. Pubs and cafes a short distance away whichever direction you take. Cottage had everything we needed and was clean and well equipped. Stairs are very steep, (but there is not many of them) so someone with mobility issues would struggle. We did expect some noise when the pub opposite closed but we never heard a thing. At 5”1’ I didn’t struggle with the low ceilings but my 6”6’ hubby came home with a few bruises!! ”

Lesley C

“Cockleshell cottage was everything we have come to expect from a Keys holiday let. Clean and tidy with everything you would require for a lovely stay ”

Elaine S

“If you want a proper fisherman's cottage experience in a prime location look no further. Excellent. Parking is just around the corner. Delightful cottage, perfect for a family of 4.”

Stuart M

“Beautiful little cottage in an ideal location so close to the sea and town. Is next to a pub which can be a bit noisy with events but no problems - and we enjoyed listening to the live music. There was a leak in the dining room, which made the room unusable for one day after heavy rain but key cottages where lovely and said the owner was replacing the roof the next week so not a big issue! Stairs are typical of that style of building- definitely not for those who are physically disabled in anyway. My husband and I are both quite tall so care should be taken when climbing the stairs! The shower was also tiny! Again not an issue for us as we are both slim but if you are of a larger build I think you would struggle! We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely return! Having the stay managed by key cottages made everything very smooth!”

Heather G

“Couldnt fault this cottage. Excellent and extremely well stocked with everything you could need. Well kept and like a home from home ”

Hazel S

“Lovely cute sweet little cottage, had everything we needed for a wonderful seaside break. Will definitely book again with keys. Five star service ”

Julie B

“We had a great stay at cockleshell cottage. Everything was clean and comfortable. The position of the cottage couldn't be better with the beach just round the corner and the shops and transport links a few minutes walk away. Would not hesitate to recommend.”

“I spent a fabulous week in this delightful cottage which oozed quirkiness
A welcome gift of wine and chocolates had been left which was a nice touch.
The entire cottage was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable.
All rooms had efficient heating for cooler days.
The kitchen was very well equipped for a full self catering experience , although there are some excellent eateries nearby and within a 2 minute walk away .The bathroom was downstairs (as with most terraced cottages) and it was equipped with a powerful shower.
The cottage is in close proximity to the seafront and there is parking close by at Chequers Car Park at rear of cottage.
The cottage has two lovely outdoor seating areas at both the front and rear of the property and a lovely little garden room that doubles up as a dining area.
The perfect place to stay and the only things that are worth bearing in mind are that the stairs in this property are incredibly steep and would not be suitable for those with walking / mobility difficulties and there are two pubs very near to the property so it did get a bit noisy some evenings.
The cottage is on a road that is used to circumnavigate the end of the promenade area in order to rejoin the main road through the town but there is an area suitable to stop and quickly drop off any luggage outside the front of the cottage before parking up.
I would most definitely recommend Cockleshell cottage and would stay here again.
“The Fisherman cottage was just what we expected, clean with all what we wanted for our weeks stay. Every think in the house was there even some ice for a G & T. Parked the car up in the car park just over the back and the sea was was only a hop. skip and jump from the front door. Had coffee in the morning at the front garden table, so did our neighbours so had a good chat even with passing locals and holiday makers. Looking to go back next year.
